Anfield Hearts Foundation

Anfield Hearts Foundation (AHF) is committed to improving quality of life, and in particular, that of people who are deprived, underprivileged and vulnerable. We donate funds for humanitarian aid, food, goods or teaching resources to other charity organisations in Hong Kong or overseas.

From 2015 until 2020, Anfield Hearts Foundation conducted the following events:

Anfield Scholarship for the Summer Institute on Disability Rights and Equality at HK University

June 2015.

AHF set up a HK$100,000 Anfield Scholarship for the Summer Institute on Disability Rights and Equality at Hong Kong University, School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE). It aimed to increase social awareness concerning the needs of special needs / disabled people and their families.

Donation for School-based Mentoring Programme

August 2016 – July 2018

A grant of HK$400,000 based on the submitted funding application "TUF Program Mentor Scholarship Support" for the period August 2016 to July 2018.

Donation for Refugee Children Textbook Fees

January 2017

AHF donated HK$15,538 to 17 refugee children in Hong Kong for the cost of textbooks in their second term of School Year 2016 – 2017 at a Hong Kong school. Without this fee, the school would have been unable to guarantee the children’s space in classes.

Educational Activity – Booth at Anfield School Fair 2017

18th February 2017

Set up booth at Anfield School Fair in Tai Wai, Shatin where over 800 students, teachers, parents, family members and friends participated.

AHF donated HK$66,000 to refugee children in Hong Kong for the cost of annual textbooks for the school year 2017 - 2018 at school. Without this fee, the school would have been unable to guarantee the children’s space in classes.

Donation for TUF Program Sustainability at HKSYC & IA Chan Nam Chong Memorial College Project

1st September 2017 – 31st August 2019

The Project’s objectives were to support the learning and development of students at CNC, in particular, to enhance their learning attitude, motivation and self-esteem. Teach Unlimited Foundation’s (“TUF”) model and programs were used, with the goal to integrate a mentoring culture and approaches into CNC’s school system.

AHF donated (the “Donation”, the “Grant”):

      1. HK$200,000 to CNC for the period of 1 September 2017 – 31 August 2018 (“Period 1”); and
      2. An additional HK$200,000 for 1 September 2018 – 31 August 2019 (“Period 2”)

    The Grant was provided to CNC in September of each of Period 1 and 2

Presentation on Inclusion Education in Hong Kong and the Project of Setting up a SEN School at Mai Po Village, San Tin

19th November 2017

AHF shared our knowledge on the right to education for children with special needs under the application of the ‘Convention of the Rights of the Child’ with committee members of Mai Po Village. We presented the need to establish a SEN school in Hong Kong and the significance of the proposed Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School at Mai Po Village.

Sponsorship for HKU SPACE Workshop on Disability Rights and Equality

21st, 22nd and 28th July 2018

The workshop’s objectives were to empower the disabilities community and to raise the overall quality and standard of Hong Kong’s participation in the UN monitoring process under CRPD and advocacy by the civil societies. Participants of this workshop undertook active roles in helping to monitor the implementation of the Convention, advancing disability equality and inclusion for the benefits of all people in Hong Kong, with or without disabilities. AHF donated HK$100,000 to the workshop.

Donation for an Interdisciplinary Project “Play Matters: Understanding the Relationship between Inclusive Education and Play”

A grant of HK$58,900 to fund research and training activities of “An Interdisciplinary Project ‘Play Matters: Understanding the Relationship between Inclusive Education and Play’” organised by SEN Rights and the University of Leeds, UK”.

Donation for “Voicing Out” Campaign

October 2019
AHF donated HK$60,000 to the Hong Kong Committee on Children Rights “Voicing Out” campaign: Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Food Donations

Since 2013 – now

AHF regularly donates food to the Missionaries of Charity – The Home of Love, for homeless people.
