As the founding Head of School, I am honoured to welcome and introduce you to Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School. As you explore our school’s website, I hope you gain an insight into our truly unique, specialist educational provision. We, at Anfield, pride ourselves on the quality of our British educational excellence and our personalised, joyful learning environment. We are a school committed to celebrating our community and fostering strong, collaborative partnerships.
The foundation of Anfield St. Bosco Koon Ying School is built upon the Catholic ethos and inspired by St. Bosco; nurture, warmth and respect permeate our educational offer to build character, moral development and instil lifelong values. ‘Educating Hearts and Minds’ is palpable amongst our students and staff, as we believe in educating the whole individual child to realise their fullest potential. I am committed to ensuring that our dedicated and experienced staff members provide a welcoming, safe and thriving environment in which every child can prosper. Whilst we measure our school’s success on the academic achievement of our students, I place great value on developing a lifelong vivacity for learning, and an understanding of our diverse world, building social responsibility and moral values that promote well-rounded development.
My background in education includes working in schools in the United Kingdom, with over eight years’ experience in the field of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I have worked within a variety of settings with a range of needs and, as a Senior Leader for the last several years, I have dedicated myself to student wellbeing and the development of an adapted English National Curriculum for SEND learners. I am passionate about inclusive education and firmly believe every child deserves to receive an education that develops their academic potential and self-reliance skills. With a wealth of SEND experience and a background of school improvement and development work, I am privileged and enthusiastic to lead such a fantastic school which is determined to support our students in fulfilling their individual goals.
We actively encourage strong partnerships with parents and professionals alike, and value their dedicated support. I look forward to meeting with prospective parents at our Open Days and Briefing Sessions throughout the year, and eagerly invite you to visit our warm and welcoming school to experience, for yourself, our unique Anfield family atmosphere.
